Denton House in Keswick is a purpose-built,
backpackers accommodation centre run by a friendly and experienced
team of staff. We are ideally located for exploration of the Lake
District National Park. Keswick town centre is a 10 minute walk
away - the path runs alongside the River Greta. Denton House also
operates as a licensed outdoor pursuits centre and we run regular
days out for hostellers; climbing, canoeing, ghyll scrambling
etc. Derwentwater is a short walk from the town centre, and the
spectacular Borrowdale Valley can easily reached on foot, by launch
or bus.
The acccommodation consists of large dormitories, full shower/toilet
facilities, a well equipped kitchen, TV room and large dining
room. We welcome dogs but request that you let us know beforehand
so that we can ensure you are able to have sole use of a dormitory.

Two traditional Lake District
cottages
in the heart of Windermere
Our two cottages are located in Windermere
Village which is considered to be the main tourist area of the
Lake District. Both are located a short walk from the railway
station and public transport, ideally located for the tourist
attractions of the Lake District. Both properties offer on street
parking with permit supplied.
Old Codgers
Cottage is a traditional Lakeland stone cottage built in
1850 located in the heart of Windermere Village and sleeping up
to 4 persons. It has a small enclosed pet friendly garden. The
cottage is well equipped and retains a traditional cosy ambience.

Granary Nook is
located next to the bakery in Windermere village, built in the
19th century from Lakeland Stone, catering for up to 5 persons
in 2 double and 1 single bedroom over 3 floors. Granary Nook has
a large enclosed pet friendly garden (Please note neighbours do
have access across the garden) It maintains its traditional appeal
but with modern furnishings.

These two self-catering cottages
offer comfortable four star accommodation in the Lake District
National Park.
They are both very well equipped and furnished, sleep four (non
smokers only), and are centrally heated for use all year round.
Each cottage has off street parking for two cars and dogs are
very welcome.
Midtown Cottages are set in the beautiful Vale of Lorton, which
is between Keswick and Cockermouth, and is one of the prettiest
parts of the Northern Lakes. The valley contains the lakes Loweswater,
Crummock Water and Buttermere.
There are many excellent walks in this area, including to the
waterfall at Scale Force.

house is in an elevated position with spectacular views across
Birker Fell and along the Eskdale Valley,
there are numerous walks to enjoy in this part of the Lake
District and further afield,
and Wastwater is less than 10 minutes drive away.
We have a large garden and patio area in which to enjoy the views,
and parking for 2 cars.
The 3 bedrooms sleep 6 people, the lounge has an open fire and
the kitchen/dining area has a log-burner within a
brick inglenook and an oil-fired Rayburn cooker.
