This eighteenth century coaching inn is set in a quiet square in the lovely town of Bishop's Castle, one of the most charming market towns in England. Close to Shrewsbury and Ludlow, it is surrounded on all sides by the beautiful
South Shropshire Hills, the Welsh borders, and in great walking country.
The inn offers eight en-suite rooms with TV, tea and coffee making facilities etc, good food, and one of the finest
selections of real ales in Shropshire. The bedrooms are impeccably clean and comfortable and many have fine views over the town to the surrounding countryside. There are three bars, crackling log fires for the winter months,
a fine oak panelled restaurant and fabulous gardens to relax in. And all suffused with that elusive
“I’ve got away from it all” feeling.
In a quiet little edge-of-town square too, and so no passing traffic
and dogs are welcome.
